First Grade Classrooms

 The first grade classes participate in the Pizza Hut Book-It program.  Each month students are required to read four books and write two sentences about each book.  As soon as they accomplish this they receive a certificate for a personal pan pizza.  

 

  

Read At Home

All first graders are encouraged to read nightly.  Students are given a read at home paper each Wednesday and are to complete and return it the following Wednesday.  The parent records book title, how it was read, and how many minutes they read each day. When the paper is returned their name is entered into the drawing for a character counts prize for being responsible.
