Kindergarten - Fourth Grade News

Peoria Symphony String Trio and Woodwind Quartet (both in March)  These special concerts for first through fourth grades include several 30 minute interactive concerts with small groups of students.  The cost of these concerts ($150 per concert) is shared by the Henry-Senachwine Music Boosters, Bielfeldt Foundation, and the Peoria Symphony's Education Fund.  Our pizza fundraiser helps pay for this activity.

Peoria Symphony - Fourth grade students will attend in April.  Each year the Peoria Symphony performs a special youth concert held at the Peoria Civic Center Theater.  This concert is performed especially for students from area schools to increase their awareness and appreciation of music.  Henry-Senachwine Grade School has participated in this annual event for many years by involving our fourth grade students.  Students will pay a minimal ticket price.

 Fundraisers

In order to raise funds for the music activities the booster club holds a couple of fundraisers during the year.  Although we do not expect K-4th graders to sell items, we still appreciate your support and help in organizing, counting money, or purchasing items.  During the year, we are offering Kathryn Beich / Nestle chocolate and Little Caesars Pizza kits.  The pizza kits have all the ingredients for 3 pizzas and many of our K-4 students would enjoy using one of these kits to help Mom or Dad make their own pizza.  Cost for one kit (3 cheese pizzas) was $16 and would make a great easy and fun family activity.

If you are interested in assisting with the Music Booster fundraiser by counting items on delivery days (during March and April), please contact Mr. Lucente or Mr. Eckert at the Grade School.  Thank you for your support.
